Extended family members such as Grandparents, Sisters, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles and other Guardians often form strong bonds with children too. Their role can therefore play an important part in their lives and provide a good support network for their parents.
When there is conflict between parents and family members such as grandparents this often affects relationships between them and their grandchildren.
Many Grandparents often wonder, ‘do I have grandparents rights?’
Mediation is a process that also allows Grandparents (and other family members and Guardians) to meet with parents to discuss issues concerning their children/grandchildren. The aim will be to help all parties reach an amicable solution avoiding the need to consider other options such as Court.
